Downhill skiing in Tänndalen and Funäsdalen

Welcome to one of Sweden's best areas for downhill skiing — Tänndalen and Funäsdalen. Wide pistes, untracked snow, family-friendly slopes and magical mountain scenery await. With 53 runs, 12 lifts and one of the most snow-reliable locations in Sweden, the area suits beginners and experienced skiers alike.

Skiing for every level

Tänndalen has modern lift systems, good carving slopes and lovely tree-lined sections. The ski area connects into Funäsfjällen, which gives you access to over 250 kilometres of piste on a single lift pass. Finding a new favourite run is easy, whether you are after speed, technique or gentle family skiing.

Family-friendly and comfortable

The children's areas in Tänndalen are safe, playful and ideal for beginners. Several lifts are built for small skiers, and there are warming huts, barbecue spots and ski hire close at hand.

Close to our cabin

Our mountain cabin sits just 270 metres from the Vigel lift, so it is easy to click into your skis and be on the slope in moments. No car needed — take the lift straight from the area.

Ski school, equipment hire & lift passes

Ski school, ski hire and lift passes are all in the Hamra area, within walking distance of the cabin. Book online or on site.

Tip: combine it with cross-country

Tänndalen is also known for its cross-country trails, which start just 500 metres from the cabin. Mix days on the piste with quiet tours in the tracks — a mountain holiday here never gets repetitive.
